What’s new in 0.3.0?#

Ansys App Portal and Light Deployment Templates™ 0.3.0 is a feature release that includes the following enhancements:

2025 R1 AWA compatibility

  • The platform is compatible with optiSLang 2025 R1 Ansys Web Apps.

Multiversion support for apps

  • Applications created using optiSLang 24R2 and optiSLang 25R1 can now be deployed and used at the same time.

Improved app creation performance

  • Adding an application to the Ansys App Portal is much faster, as the platform now pre-loads the base image used by existing optiSLang web apps.

Linux distribution-agnostic execution

  • The platform no longer imposes a Linux version of WSL for running containers. It can now run on any Linux distribution, as long as the correct versions of Docker and Docker Compose are installed.

Simplified deployment

  • The platform now offers a simplified deployment experience.

Log file enhancements

  • Each log file now includes the name of the .ps1 script that executed it.

  • Also, the platform now generates a log file for the Product Instance Manager.
